Submission Guidelines for Composers
Excellent! Now that you're reading this page it means you would like to get your tunes into the AJRB. Please follow the steps below so you can be considered. As physical books are mostly static in that it is near impossible to add tunes to them (you couldn't fit any more tunes in the book anyway) I am adding tunes regularly to the AJRB website and delivering them electronically to subscribers. There exists a significant opportunity to document many compositions that didn't make it into the physical book. The digital site is then a living, breathing resource that is continually added to. This is important, because there is still a long way to go to be as inclusive, representative and diverse as it needs to be.

Christian McBride Trio Review, Melbourne Recital Centre Sat 1st June
Christian McBride Trio on Friday showed us all how it can, should, and ought to be done. Sure, they all had the chops. But their performance wasn't only just a display of technical virtuosity. McBride engendered a positivity in the ensemble, and his young charges Christian Sands on piano and Ulysses Owens Jr on drums obliged accordingly, each giving their all. Their clear enjoyment of being in Melbourne was apparent, the love on the bandstand was tangible, respect was given where it was due, and they had fun doing it.
