Influences
I began playing guitar late compared to most, around about 16. At this time my family had a holiday in Hawaii and as fate would have it there was a guy at a market selling Shrapnel records exclusively (he’s probably a millionaire) and so began the journey with Racer X and all Paul Gilbert, Cacophony and all Jason Becker, Marty Friedman, Yngwie Malmsteen, Tony Macalpine, Greg Howe, Vinnie Moore, and later Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, Joey Tafolla, Brett Garsed and Michael Lee Firkins.

Then the direction changed when at 17 I heard Allan Holdsworth and the course has stayed the same with usual suspects Frank Gambale, Scott Henderson, Wayne Krantz Tim Miller and so forth. Now it’s all these guys balanced with the Second Viennese School.
