“Tango for H” – dedicated to the Aikido master Hitohiro Saito Shihan who is ‘one-of-a-kind’. Was fortunate to visit Japan and personally give sensei a copy of the sheet music and play the piece piece solo on tenor sax for him. It’s also included in the Grade 3 AMEB syllabus. I enjoyed playing this composition with Stephen Magnusson who showed how ‘out’ you could take it without sacrificing musicality.
