Sophie Min is a South Korean-born pianist and composer known for her dynamic artistry, blending jazz, classical, and contemporary influences. Beginning piano at age 3, she later studied at the Seoul Institute of the Arts and the Queensland Conservatorium. She recently began her Doctor of Musical Arts at Griffith University, further expanding her creative and academic pursuits.

Her career spans solo performances to large-scale ensemble works, with critically acclaimed albums and major festival appearances. Her latest project and album include 'Bellwether', 'Your Wings' by Sophie Min Orchestra and 'Fine Gnaw' by Shamin. In March 2025, she embarks on a European tour across six venues with 'Intertwined Trees', her duo album with German flautist Heinrich von Kalnein, featuring British vibraphonist Jim Hart.

Described as “chordal heaven” and “a lion’s roar of creativity,” Sophie’s music captures both lyricism and fearless improvisation. Whether leading orchestras or shaping spontaneous sonic landscapes, she brings fire, depth, and emotion to every stage.
