Elliot Lamb

Biography

Elliot Lamb is a trombonist, arranger and composer based in Naarm (Melbourne). Their music lives predominantly in the contemporary improvised music scene, taking inspiration from jazz, pop, folk, and video game music. Elliot's debut octet album, Between Worlds, explores their experience of living between genders and genres; themes they build upon further in their follow up album, In My Own Little World. Lamb was the MIJF's Take Note Leader in 2021, received an ABC Jazz Commissioning Grant in 2024, and was an ABC Jazz Artist in Residence in 2025, supporting the release of In My Own Little World. Elliot is also a founding member of the Jazzlab Orchestra, a big band with a monthly residency at its namesake, the Jazzlab in Brunswick, and regularly arranges for and plays in the horn section of the Rockwiz Orkestra.
