Currently, he is an Associate Lecturer at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. Dewhurst’s latest album, Avicennia, features his trio with special guest Lisa Parrott. Inspired by wanderings through the streets, open spaces, and swampy tidal waterways of Sydney’s inner west, the album blends elements of jazz, roots, improvisation, and polyrhythm.
